Thanks for reporting on this. Violence in the Philly schools has been a problem for years. As a teacher, I fell victim at South Philadelphia High School more than 7 years ago and the perpetrators were never found. These thugs must be held to account but the union does nothing. Moreover, the administrators spin these incidents by making it seem that it’s the teacher’s fault because they're more concerned with optics than with safety.
We made a decIsion to educate children. We did not choose to be abused.
