Natalie Thomas is clearly a poor fit for the job. She lacks moral clarity and vision. Schools were once places of empowerment which freed minds by teaching children to think independently -- to want to get up in the morning and set an example by earning a living honestly and honorably. The children knew why they were there and aspired to the cultural and moral grandeur to which they were capable. The teachers asked for it and the parents demanded it. In time (and a whole lot of it), they could feel as if they accomplished something. This was and remains the primacy of the schools and is what everyone wants. That's what's missing. She subverted it with it with the veritable chamber of horrors of Common Core.
